Is a care suite different to a serviced apartment?

A care suite is a hybrid-type option that combines a village offering (therefore something that requires an upfront ‘purchase’ price) and support at a higher level of care as certified by ManatÅ« Hauora Ministry of Health and governed by the Age Related Residential Care (ARRC) Agreement. They may also be referred to as 'care apartments'. Unlike a serviced apartment, the care components are managed under the ARRC Agreement between the operator and public health services.

Search care suites on Eldernet Residential Care by selecting the region you want, choosing the level of care, and ticking the 'Care Suite' box.

Search serviced apartments on retirementvillages.co.nz by selecting the region, clicking 'Search Available Properties' and choosing 'Serviced Apartments' from the drop down menu.
