Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
At Aria Gardens, we provide a friendly, warm, homely environment. We encourage and support individuals within the community to make the most of their abilities and, where possible, increase their confidence to enable them to grow and enjoy as much independence as they can. Our philosophy is to provide every resident with their own space where they can welcome their friends and family/whanau as visitors to their home in private and comfortable surroundings.
Our vision at Aria Gardens is to provide a home where our residents live with dignity, where the environment enhances and maximizes independence and there is respect for every individual's cultural, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical well being. This vision is underpinned by our values of compassion, integrity, dignity, honesty, respect, innovation, accountability and excellence in our field.
The wellness programmes we offer here at Aria Gardens are based on robust research about the positive effects of diet, exercise, social interaction and mental stimulation on ageing. This approach is part of our ‘living a life with soul’ philosophy, which shapes how our communities operate.
Arvida’s “Five Pillars”, Eating Well, Moving Well, Resting Well, Thinking Well and Engaging Well are reflected in the planning and delivery of each program.
Designed to cater to the specific interests of residents, they can be held within the community or at an outside venue, accessed with the community van.
We are on the North Shore in the Waitamata District and based in Albany.

Dear Carol,

Your vision and its implementation is etched on my heart. Without you "my music ignites my soul" may never have evolved Emerson's poem "Gratitude" captures what you have done for seniors and students in NZ. You will always have a special place in my heart.

I never thought coming into care would be such a wonderful move. I am so happy living here. The staff are kind and wonderful. The food is great.

Compliments to our chef, I have been here for almost 10 years. I have not tasted better, it's like going somewhere special.

Thank you to all the Staff that looked after Keith. You are all truelove amazing. Definitely all Angels on Earth

Many thanks for this newsletter, it’s wonderful to read about all the new activities and plans! I’m sure all the residents will find plenty of interesting and fun things to look forward to and enjoy!
Best wishes

Jocelyn said to say thank-you to the Pohutukawa staff for looking after her mum.
You do an amazing job!

Bruce said to say thank-you to all the Pohutukawa staff for looking after Bruce. Especially in the difficult time during lockdown.
He really appreciates the work that we do for his cousin.

Great grandson Oscar wrote her a note to say it was nice to visit her in her rest home and listening about what she was doing. He also drew her a picture of the family driving past on Mothers Day and said that he enjoyed it.

Thank you Carol to you and your team for keeping the elderly safe and healthy.
Congratulations and very well done.
