Testimonials
Aged Advisor Review - 8 July 2024 - Glenn TKH is the perfect fit, it was recommended to us by a friend and was the first one we visited and came straight back to after 6 other facilities were inspected, it was night and day. It has a great atmosphere which you can't find in the larger facilities. The rooms are set back from the corridors allowing a sense of privacy, it is clean and well-kept and spacious. It does not have that hospital feel at all. The staff are very friendly been when dealing with quite difficult situations, my hats off to them and Lisa the Manager and Debs the senior Nurse are wonderful to deal with. With the passing of my parents only the deepest respect was offered and made this very difficult situation manageable. I would highly recommend TKH to anyone looking to get their loved ones into a well-run caring environment be it for a short time like my parents or a longer stay. I cannot thank them enough for their services. Thank you all so much for all your help, you have been marvelous to deal with keep up the good work. 6 June 2024 Just wanted to say that having mum with you guys has been fantastic. It is the first time for a very long time that I have not had to worry about her. I love your staff and the lovely friendly atmosphere. Andrea. 7th May 2024 I have recently spent two weeks at Terence Kennedy House to give my partner a much-needed rest. I have had a very happy stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed with a private bathroom. The meals were brilliant with plenty of variety. I was more than happy to eat anything that was on offer. The Nurses were faultless. Always helpful, kind and highly efficient. Thank you everyone for making my stay very enjoyable. Brian. Google Reviews Nellie Ngan-Woo What an Amazing Place! From Emmy and the Nurses, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, caregivers to Renee at reception and Lisa and Debbie in management even the residents were all so welcoming. They are so friendly, caring and treated mum with kindness and respect. They always greeted us with a smile. Lisa the Hospital Manager always kept me updated with mum and always answered emails and phone calls and answered all my questions. I live in Sydney so to get emails and phones calls answered in a timely manner was so great and kept me at ease. I highly recommend Terrence Kennedy House to any family who is looking for care for their loved ones. Thank you Lisa and Team for EVERYTHING! Mum misses you all dearly. Naomi McCleary My beloved Murray came to live out his days at Terence Kennedy in December 2022. He was naturally scared witless about needing to go into hospital care. From our very first visit he was made to feel welcome; that his room would be his home; that he could fill it with familiar things (furniture, pictures, books, music, his own La-z-boy). Throughout his 9-month stay the nursing care was impeccable. But it was also delivered with such warmth and humanity. He was a gregarious bloke and made friends with all his caregivers; he loved them and I think they loved him. His room became a small island of warmth and familiarity. When he was admitted to Waitakere Hospital in late July, and learned that palliative care was all that was left for him, his first and only request was that he could return to Terence Kennedy to die in his own room. This he did. I am so grateful for all the care and love he received. Terence Kennedy is more a home and a family than a hospital. Joanne Ngatai Our elderly Mother has been at Terence Kennedy House for seven months now. After a period of settling in she has now accepted Terence Kennedy private hospital as her home. We have been very impressed with the care she is receiving, the staff are wonderful and our Mum interacts well with them. We also believe that when a facility like this one has a good manager, clinical manager, nursing staff and receptionist, which Terence Kennedy has, then the quality of care flows through the entire home. Peace of mind for families who have placed their loved ones into care is of great importance and we are very happy with Terence Kennedy as our choice. Diana B My mother moved to TKH after her health declined . My family and I are very happy with her care there , it is like a family and being cared for like this has taken a lot of our worries away. Mum does enjoy being there and given she is still a very independent lady at TKH they still allow her to keep that independence as much as possible. There are plenty of activities for mum to enjoy too and the staff are wonderful. Gillian W Both my parents are residents at TKH where they are well looked after by the caring staff. They each have a warm, comfortable room and nutritious meals. The highlight of the week for mum and dad, is the Friday treat of fish and chips for lunch. I'm always made to feel welcome when I visit and I receive regular health updates on mum and dad. It's reassuring to know my parents are getting the specialised care they need and are in good hands at Terence Kennedy House. Sean Barry Terence Kennedy House feels like a home, rather than a hospital. The staff are very caring and friendly, and super dedicated to the residents. Despite the impact of Covid every effort has been made to ensure family can stay connected to residents. The food looks amazing too! Susan Davis Terence Kennedy House is a place where my Mum has been cared for and looked after. The staff -ALL-of them. Are welcoming, genuine people. Who, in each, of their interactions with Mum, make my Mum's life easier for her. As a family we are kept updated with Mum's care and needs and on no occasion has any question or concern been ignored or left unaddressed. I have never regretted the decision to sit down with Lisa Jones and discuss what I wanted for our Mum. TKH is a place where you KNOW your loved one is really, genuinely cared for. Toni N My nana has been at Terrence Kennedy for a year now, she is well cared for by great team who go above and beyond to keep the residents safe and well. Ngaire Jonas We are so genuinely pleased to have Mum residing at Terence Kennedy House. The team there are second to none and we are secure in the knowledge that Mum is in safe and caring hands at all times from all members of staff. There is a real family atmosphere at TKH and the teams communication with family is outstanding. Huge gratitude to each team member for enabling us to know that Mum is looked after and loved. Kelly Jones TKH looks after your loved one like they are their own. My Gran has been at TKH for about 2 years now. She is loved, respected and looked after as if she was the grandmother of each and every one of the staff that look after her. Lisa and Deb make a formidable team and they are just 2 of many who right from day one made our family feel we had made the right choice of residence for Gran, we can't recommended this place enough for your loved one. |
