McKenzie Healthcare Brochure |
Welcome to McKenzie HealthCare, where we provide a warm and nurturing home for up to 72 residents in Geraldine. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional care with a personal touch.
As a recognised privately funded Aged Care Service, we offer a comprehensive range of services including Rest Home, Dementia (D3), Hospital Care (including Palliative), Respite, Private Convalescent Care, ACC rehabilitation, and Young Persons Disability permanent placement. With the support of local GPs, physiotherapists, podiatrists, and our expert staff, we ensure holistic and high-quality care for our residents.
At McKenzie HealthCare, our philosophy revolves around respect, dignity, and privacy. We are dedicated to creating a homely environment where our residents can thrive and enjoy life to the fullest. Our mission aligns with the vision of "Aging Well," allowing older people to live and fully participate in their communities, staying healthy and connected with their land, Whānau, and the wider community.
Our core values—Compassion, Kindness, Patience, Respect, and Integrity—guide everything we do:
- Compassion: We build relationships based on empathy, respect, and understanding.
- Kindness: We support and foster positive collaboration, respect and support for each other
- Patience: We remain calm and composed, even in challenging situations.
- Respectful: We honour the dignity, rights, and diverse needs of our residents and staff.
- Integrity: We are open, accountable, and committed to earning trust through truthfulness.
What makes us unique is our ability to operate independently from the constraints of large corporate care homes. We empower our residents, staff, and whanau, fostering a person-centered, community-focused environment. Our commitment to involving our community, staff, and families in shaping our care ensures a safe, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere.
At McKenzie HealthCare, "We care because it is a home. We care because our people count. We care because our residents count. We care because our community counts."
Discover the difference at McKenzie HealthCare, where compassionate care and a sense of belonging come together.

Testimonials
When the time came to relinquish daily care of my wife I told her that others could care for her better than I could. At that time I had no idea where she might go. After 2 weeks in hospital she found a bed at McKenzie HealthCare. What a godsend!! Her 39 days in their care can not be faulted. The staff showed her great respect and love and good cheer. She regarded them all as friends. We appreciated their devotion to caring for (my wife). We give them all a pat on the back from our family and the many visitors (she) enjoyed. Bruce |
