Other services
Located in a peaceful position close to beautiful Lake Taupo but away from the main thoroughfare, Wharerangi offers a range of options for aged care living, with a choice of standard and premium care rooms.
Your room is your own private space, so you can decorate it with your favorite pictures and ornaments. Standard rooms are large enough for a single bed, a chair and a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The cost of a standard room is included in the Care Services Fee set by the DHB. Premium rooms have additional features such as more space, an ensuite bathroom or outdoor access, but you’ll need to pay an extra amount per day to cover the cost of these premium features.
Wharerangi has a warm, welcoming and family-friendly environment and is known in the community for providing a high level of personalised care. With vibrant hubs for socialising, or quiet spaces to relax, residents can pick and choose how to spend their day.
The town centre is just a five-minute walk away so you can enjoy having everything you need at your doorstep, including shops, post office, supermarkets, banks, movie theatre, local library and a great variety of cafes and restaurants. The local Cosmopolitan Club is also nearby and is popular with a number of our residents.

Testimonials
Tena koutou katoa. On Behalf of Betty's children we would to thank the team from Wharerangi. They loved our Mother and took beautiful care. Her body gave up when our Father passed, but her spirit soared and her mind remained clear until the final days. Na te Aroha |
