Welcome to Thorrington Village and Archer! Set in the Beckenham loop and so close to shops, cafes and entertainment.
Thank you for considering our Archer family, and one of our lifestyle villages and care homes, as a place you may like to come and make your home. We want residents to come to Archer and ‘live and love life’ - Engage, enjoy and be enriched from living in the village & care homes.
We offer three sites that between them encompass, independent-living lifestyle villages, assisted-living serviced studios, day-support programmes, rest home level nursing support, and memory support care (dementia).
Our events calendar gives you an opportunity to be involved in visits and activities outside the village and meet others from the Archer group while enjoying the sights and sounds of Akaroa, or perhaps a tour of wineries in Waipara or any of the other trips we have planned.

We have an activities / Villa liaison person who co-ordinates the monthly activites programme in consultation with the residents. Activities include visits to Libaries, Malls, Theatre and special interest groups. There are weekly visits to Supermarkets in our van and every week we visit different cafes and restaurants venturing as far as Amberley or Akaroa. |

If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
