Kauri Lodge is a small family-orientated 25-bed Residential Care Home serving Kaeo, Whangaroa & surrounding districts. We have hospital level care, rest-home level, respite care & welcome day-stay clients and other cultures. We are here for everyone.
Our team of Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants are supported by our Doctor's Clinic right next door. There is a Registered Nurse on duty 24 hours a day. Activities Coordinator, Physiotherapy, are located on-site. Many of our rooms are very spacious and have a balcony with a rural outlook over the resident's 'cottage' garden. We encourage residents to bring in their own items from home to support them to feel like a home away from home. Most vegetables are home grown in our abundant garden, thanks to staff, residents and volunteers. Several fruit trees and grape vines complete the garden.
We have a dedicated activities coordinator that has knowledge in "Spark of Life" which is a great asset for our aged care facility. Activities are provided for our residents 4 days per week.

Physiotherapist Yes Every resident is referred to our physiotherapist at admission then according to need. Our physiotherapist sees our residents 1 weekly and has a physio assistant that provides exercises 3x weekly.
