Ultimate Care Pōneke House features comfortable surroundings with a homely setting which sets our residents at ease. We believe the most important factor for our residents is to assist them to live a full quality life, in a warm, homely, family oriented environment, one that respects and celebrates their individuality and life.

We have a wonderful established garden with views overlooking Newtown. With our multiple lounge areas and sunny courtyards there is plenty of inviting space for residents and families to enjoy.

As well as offering the comfort of security and companionship, we have a full activities programme geared to each resident’s needs and a variety of interesting regular outings.

We're also on the Newtown bus route which makes going in and out of town easy for residents and visitors alike.

Ultimate Care Pōneke House provides a warm and homely environment in the Wellington suburb of Mount Victoria, surrounded by the Town Belt. Ultimate Care Pōneke House is very competently managed by qualified, professional and friendly staff, who strive to implement and maintain an excellent level of care for residents at all times.

The individual resident rooms, lounges and sheltered outdoor areas, including well-managed gardens, have a sunny perspective. There is a bus stop very close to the facility, with Wellington Hospital within walking distance. Allied health professional services are easily accessible.

The Activities and Recreation programme is a vital component for residents living at Ultimate Care Pōneke House. It endeavours to provide a variety of events and entertainment, and residents are encouraged to be involved and as active as possible. Regular contact is maintained with local organisations such as schools and church groups, SPCA, and the wheelchair-capable group van is utilised for resident outings to interesting parts of Wellington City and beyond.

Staffing qualifications and details All staff at Ultimate Care Pōneke House attend regular training sessions to keep up to date with the most current trends in care. The staff really care deeply about making sure they help and support the residents as much as possible
Details about meals The menu is collated after consultation with the residents to determine their food preferences. The menu is also reviewed regularly by a Dietitian to ensure a good balance is maintained between nutrition and wholesome food.
