Testimonials
"I am very happy here and this feels like coming to my own home. I don't feel lonely as I am surrounded with lovely residents and friends." Elsie Casson "I have lived here for 10 years and I am very pleased to have resided in such a warm and homely environment. I could never get a more personalized care elsewhere than here." Grace Callagher "My mother, Peggy Winks lived at Crossley Court Rest Homes-Orewa Beach for nearly six years. We were able to sleep at night confident that our mother was being well-looked after. We found Crossley Court to be just like a family home. Being located in a residential area, we did not feel that we have moved my mother to an "institution". We could visit any time of the day or night and the staff and other residents became extended family. The Rest Home is just a few minutes flat walk to the beach or Orewa township. We would regularly take mother, in her wheel chair for a picnic by the beach or wander around the shops and stop for afternoon tea at one of the many cafes Orewa has to offer."Val Smith "Our mother, Ella Neary has been a resident at Crossley Court Rest Homes-Orewa Beach for five years. During this time, she has made some lovely friends and has received excellent care both medically and holistically, and her needs are well taken cared of by the caring Staff, the Registered on site nurse and the doctor who visits the Rest Home on a regular basis. Any concerns from both Ella and us are always sorted out promptly by the Manager, Elaine and her wonderful Staff. I love it that we can just pop in anytime to visit Ella or take her out. Ella enjoys the activities that Crossley Court- Orewa Beach provides especially the Physio/exercise sessions and the sing a -longs and the Happy Hour that is put on. The Annual Christmas party is always a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by everybody and the food is amazing! I would definitely recommend this loving Rest Home to any family who is looking for a caring and well-managed environment for their elderly parent." Hester Neary "I find the meals very good and very enjoyable. It is so hard to please 27 of us but the cooks seem to satisfy all of us." Ray Kearney "We have been involved with Elaine and the home for some years now, and we would like to acknowledge the compassionate and caring home you provide. It has always been our experience with you and your Staff, that you have the best interests of your residents in mind and we have nothing but respect for the level of your love and care. You provide a peaceful and contented environment, with that balance of stimulation, activity involvement and trips out, all seemingly in keeping with the needs of the resident involved. The provision of food and cleanliness is also great, so that we would never have any hesitation in recommending your home, to anyone reaching that stage in their life that required or needed a good aged care facility. You have our warmest respect for all that you and your staff do." Trevor and Dianne Bayer I consider that we were very lucky to secure a place at Crossley Court for our mother. She has gone from being lonely and anxious to being as relaxed and happy as I have seen her in 10 years. To be honest, we are stunned with the transformation. She even looks younger! I believe this change has been in part due to the facilities and services you offer, but principally to the care and support which is ever present whenever I, or my brothers,Warwick and Bruce come to visit. Having been a professional manager and administrator for most of my working life, I can also see the beneficial effects of the Rest home's governing policies and your own gentle, caring management style. My brothers and I cannot offer enough praise and thanks for what you have achieved for Dorothy in such a short time. Peter, Warwick and Bruce Anderson "Staff is very good to me. They look after me very well.I have problems with my eyes and I often go to Greenlane. Elaine organizes Staff to take me to these appointments and for that I am so grateful. Here, we also have trips that stretches from the East to the West Coast. Our visits to Matakana and Martins Bay provide us with a different fresh ambiance, whilst going to Muriwai gets us to see the wild-side of some beaches and enjoy the gannet scenery nearby. Everything is made possible here at Crossley Court Rest Homes-Orewa Beach. What more could I ask for? Meals are very nice. I have thoroughly enjoyed the themed lunches that we have been having and I look forward to more. I enjoy the company of a chosen few. I get to visit my wife at another Rest Home with the help of Lynda and Wendy. A1 Nursing Staff who are on to it and easily picks up when I am sick. Thank you for the top notch care. I reckon, finding Crossley Court Rest Homes-Orewa Beach has been a great gift to me. Merve Brown "Crossley Court was my father's home for just over two years. Thank you to the entire team at Crossley Court for your never ending patience, support and kindness provided to Dad while in your care. You are special people. To Elaine-thank you so much-your professionalism and leadership is amazing and clearly evident in the quality of care provided by your Staff; Dad was always treated with kindness, dignity and respect and I observed this same high level of standard of care provided to other residents in Crossley Court on many occasions. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to all your Staff" Susie George for Richard Redmayne I have been a resident in Crossley Court-Orewa Beach since September 2015 and in that time, I have been really appreciative of the Management and Staff of the organization. Things such as hospitality, meals and patient care are all fulfilled to my satisfaction. I am pleased with the ability to visit restaurants and have the opportunity to go out on picnics and movies. In my case, I have a lawn and beautiful garden outside of my room which makes it a pleasure to be able to view whilst I sit on my deck. Unfortunately, I have very few relations and friends because of my age but have been able to join in with a really friendly group from the residents to Management and Staff which makes this place a pleasure to live in. John Coleman I would like to compliment Elaine and her Staff for the wonderful work that you do with the Elderly in your care especially my Mum. The Staff are always patient, helpful and kind and I have seen this in many different situations because I often pop in at different times to visit Mum. Not only are the elderly physically cared for, but they are treated with respect. That is all a daughter with an aging parent could wish for. Elaine, you treat your Staff with respect too and this shows as the Staff are reliable and loyal. One of the things that I appreciate the most is the good advice that I have been given over the years as my mother deteriorates. Elaine, you and your Staff have been there for me every step of the way, helping me and my family understand and accept the Dementia progression. I will always be thankful and indebted to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Deane Erasmus I cannot recommend Crossley Court enough. They are the most wonderful, caring people. My Dad could be a challenge and they just said he was mischievous and cheeky and were so incredibly patient with him. The Staff went out of their way to make sure he had an enjoyable time there. Covid has been a challenge for them but we were always kept up to date and visiting was done in a safe manner. The Christmas Party was a real treat and Staff had given up their own time to make it a fabulous event. You will be lucky if you had one of your loved ones there. Carol Weaver |
