Nestled in the heart of sunny Hawkes Bay, Gracelands offers options for both retirement village living and aged care, with two-bedroom independent living villas and a choice of standard and premium care rooms, including Care Suites.

Gracelands is ideally located off a main road and has easy access to public transport, which makes getting to Hastings or Napier a breeze. There are plenty of shops close by including a pharmacy, a Four Square, fruit and veggie shops, and lovely cafes and eateries that are perfect for a catch-up with friends and family.

Gracelands is known for its vibrant community and friendly staff who always go the extra mile to deliver care with warmth and kindness. It is a place where both residents and their families can truly feel at home.

Your room is your own private space, so you can decorate it with your favourite pictures and ornaments. Standard rooms are large enough for a single bed, a chair and a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The cost of a standard room is included in the Care Services Fee set by the DHB. Premium rooms have additional features such as more space, an ensuite bathroom or outdoor access, but you’ll need to pay an extra amount per day to cover the cost of these premium features.

Care Suites provide both Rest Home and Hospital level care, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase. All Care Suites have a heat pump and full ensuite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

Hop in our van for a jaunt, you’ll never know where it will take you next. A scenic drive through the countryside, shopping trips or picnics in the park, there’s an exciting new destination each week. Or if it’s music you’re into, enjoy some me-time listening to your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings…there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to want second helpings!

Oceania is a leading provider of premium healthcare services in New Zealand. With over 40 locations across the country, we’ve been part of local communities for over 50 years. We’re recognised as industry leaders in care, winning awards for innovation, food, staff training and community engagement.

When it comes to your care, you know what you do and don’t like – and we want to know your preferences too. Because everyone is different, all of our residents get a personalised care plan, so from meals to medications; everything that’s important to you is covered.

I sincerely thank you for the beautiful flowers that have just arrived, it was so kind of you and greatly appreciated. Many thanks to management and staff for the professional way Celily was cared for, she was very happy and grateful for all the help and assistance with her daily life. It was a great burden taken off our shoulders to know that Cecily had the greatest care 24/7. Would you please convey my gratefull thanks to all who assisted Cecily in any way. My daughter Stephanie joins me in expressions of gratitude for your dedication to a lovely lady.
Sincerely yours Peter Price (husband of Cecily)

To Phil, Jean, Tracey and the care staff of Graceland's
We are so very appreciative of the excellent care given to mum Jean Drummond in the short time she was with you.
We were impressed from our initial meeting with Phil who took the time with us even though he had finished work for the day. The call from Jean (Clinical manager)on saturday to explain the transfer process and right through the next week was appreciated.
The respect and dignity all staff gave mum and the thoughtfulness and consideration shown to us while we sat with her could not be faulted.
To all the nurses, carers, cleaners and cooks you are all wonderful, thank you.

Regards Pam Maclean and Bruce Drummond (November 2015)

To the Management team and staff
Congratulations on your recent success in winning the award for the best Aged Care. These awards are never given out lightly, so well done to you all. Keep up the good work.

Thank you to Gracelands rest Home.
Would just like to say a big thank you to Gracelands Rest Home management and staff. My mum passed away in the Rest Home a few weeks ago after being there for 15 months.
What a wonderful caring bunch of people, and to those staff who went beyond their normal duties to make my mums last days comfortable, and who made sure they looked after me also. I could not have got through this difficult time without their support. On behalf of my mum and myself, thank you so much, great bunch of people, couldn't have asked for more.
Gracelands is a wonderful home.

I would like to compliment the Activities Team: Viv and Kerrie, for the wonderful job they and their helpers did for the Friendship Day and the long lunch they put on for us all. The tables looked bright with a floral arrangement on white tablecloths. The food was outstanding, thanks to the cooks and an assortment of drinks was brought around. They also had Peter Scott singing for us while we ate. The talk afterwards was great and it hasn't stopped yet. The Activities Team should be very proud of themselves for all the work they put into this.

I am taking this opportunity to comment on the Friendship Lunch held yesterday. I give top marks to the kitchen staff and other girls who made the lunch, a real success. Considerable work has gone into setting out the tables with festive decorations, and the Activities Team: Viv and Kerrie were constantly ensuring all residents were kept happy. Crystal and her staff did a truly professional job of preparing and serving a delicious meal and they can be justly proud of themselves. To give credit where credit is due, this was a fine effort and I personally heard only good comments.

I would like to say how much I loved the Bridal Shower. The work, care and artistic ability shown by the Activities Team Viv and Jules was amazing. What's more their loving care was obvious to all. We had two days of interest and fun and yesterday was the crown. My daughters (who came along to please Mum) were totally astounded by the display and absolutely loved it! Mind you, the residents here have come to expect the great work these two ladies put into everything they do for us.

Hi Phil,
Just a wee note to say what a privilege it was to be included in the Bridal Shower yesterday. Viv and her colleague did an amazing job and gave us a really interesting time. Audrey and I were thrilled to be invited to cut the celebratory cake. The whole display, the programme and the video were of high quality and must have taken hours of work. They should receive a strong commendation for all their efforts.

It took me a couple of weeks to settle in after leaving my home, but I have to say the staff at Graceland's which include nurses, caregivers, office staff and the activities team were very nice to me. I feel thankful that the activities team who come in every morning to remind me what's on for the day which makes me feel special. I enjoy playing bowls, and I love the outings to cafe's and out to lunch, Viv & Jules always make these outings fun and interesting. I am part of the I love music program and I feel it has really positive benefits. I have made friends at Graceland's and I enjoy being social with others. I am able to go out with my friends and family and continue my activities in the community. I have recommended Graceland's to others as it feels like my home and I am very happy here.
