At Waiuku Hospital and Rest Home as part of our Activity programme residents enjoy the following: Art, Aromatherapy, Bingo, Board games, Bowls, Cards, Care and Craft, Church, Concerts, Craft, Dancing, Entertainers, Exercises, Flower arranging, Games, Gardening, Happy Hour, Housie, Jigsaws, Library visits and access to big print books, Massage, Movies, Music, Outings, Parties, Reading, Shopping, Sing-a-longs and Videos. We also have close links in the community with Age Concern, the Arthritis society, the RSA and Senior Citizens. On site we have Sky TV for the resident's entertainment and a Fax. |

Staffing qualifications and details | We have a Registered Nurse on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week. All of our staff undergo inservice training on a regular basis to ensure they are equipped to deliver the best of care to our residents. | |
Details about meals | Our main meal of the day is served at midday and a lighter meal in the evening. All meals are cooked on the premises as we are able to cater for special needs and requests. Morning and afternoon tea and supper are all provided consisting of delicious home baking - scones and date loaf being regular favourites. | |
