With lovely courtyards for family and friends to share, the Taieri Unit provides 23 beds for those assessed as requiring hospital level dementia care (D6).
Residents have modern private rooms perfect for personalising with momentos and most have their own ensuites. There are both Standard and Premium Rooms available.
A registered nurse is available to supervise resident care 24 hours/day seven days a week.
Both individual and group activities are provided daily and planned to meet the needs of all residents. Our activities staff also offer regular events and trips such as outings and visiting entertainers.
The chaplain visits regularly and interdenominational services are held weekly.
"Home cooked" style meals and snacks are prepared on site and laundry is also serviced on site.
We value the dignity and self worth of the people we support and encourage them to retain control of their lives as much as possible. The people we care for will be encouraged in their individuality as we cherish the richness of diversity.
