Registered Nurse 168hrs Yes We have a team of committed registered nurses who strive to ensure residents needs are being met. Our team of registered nurses cover all shifts 24/7.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes We have a team of caregivers who are committed to providing the best possible care for all of our residents. Our Caregivers undergo regular training and education.
Physiotherapist Yes We can provide Physiotherapy services to our residents as needed. We work in with local physiotherapists and those from Nelson Marlborough District Health Board.
Occupational Therapist Yes We can arrange for Occupational Therapy services should you require them. Access via Nelson Marlborough District Health Board.
Social Worker (on site) Negotiable We can arrange for a Social Worker to be present should you require it. Access via Nelson Marlborough District Health Board.
Diversional Therapist Yes Full time activities programme runs at Kensington Court. The activities programme are run between the hospital and rest home. Our activities programme is designed to meet the needs of all our residents.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes We have a developing an extensive programme to cover hospital, rest home and village. We have three full time DT's that work with our rest home and hospital residents.
Hairdresser Yes We have a great hairdressers salon in the facility. This means you can have a bit of a hair do without going too far.
Podiatrist Yes Our podiatrist will visit regularly at least once every six weeks.
Dietitian Yes We currently have all of our menu's approved by a registered dietitian and nutritionist. If required we can also make independent referrals to a dietitian for independent advice.
Accredited Visitors Yes We use Red Cross accredited visitors service and we currently have three visitors who come and visit residents.
Kaumatua Yes We can source availability of appropriate local Kaumatua or Iwi provider services which can be arranged on an individual basis as required.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes We can access a Chaplin through the various church groups which visit. This can be arranged on an individual basis as required.

Stomal Therapy Yes We do not have a stomal therapist on staff, but if required we would refer to the DHB stomal services for advice.
Stroke Rehabilitation Yes Access can be made through the Stroke Foundation. Can also consult with speech language therapy, Physiotherapy etc through the local DHB
Infection Control Yes We have an infection control programme for our organisation that has been endorsed by the Medical Officer of Health for Canterbury.
