Other services
Matamata Country Lodge is located on six acres of grounds and gardens close to the town centre for quick shopping trips and cafe catchups. This historic building dates back to 1924, when it was originally a maternity hospital - with some of our residents and staff being born or birthed here.
Our priority is your care and well-being, enabling you to do what you love, remain a part of your local community and enjoy your later years.
Our care home is well-designed and provides rest home, hospital and respite care. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of elderly care, and in 2022, we again achieved the highest level of 4-year accreditation, putting us in the top 25% of residential care facilities nationwide.
Diversional Therapy staff offer a comprehensive range of activities, including day trips using our fleet of vehicles. We ensure that residents remain a part of their local community, with groups coming in to build connections and us going out to local events and attractions.
Meals are cooked fresh on-site daily - some of the favourites are fish n chip Fridays or Sunday roasts.
Our caring team fosters a friendly family atmosphere between residents, families and staff.
It is important to us that you feel valued when you choose to make Matamata Country Lodge home. If you have any questions about aged care or Matamata Country Lodge, we'd love to meet with you to discuss your situation and needs.
