Our Vision is to provide a fulfilling experience of ageing in a home where we care and nuture each other. Our vision is underpinned by our five values Quality, Pride, Integrity, Teamwork and laughter.
Our 25-bed hospital is suitable for people requiring hospital and palliative level care. A registered nurse is on site at all times and is supported by a team of healthcare assistants, as well as a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists, podiatrists, dietitians, and other health professionals who visit throughout the week.
We pride ourselves on our clinical care and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest innovations in aged care. We are absolutely patient-focused and dedicated to looking after all aspects of a person’s wellbeing. We want people to feel as good as possible about themselves and their treatment, while they are in hospital, and do our utmost to achieve this by paying attention to the big and small things in life. There is always joy, laughter, and regular activities for those who want to participate.
We know that having a loved one in hospital can be a difficult and stressful time for families and we do all that we can to make families feel welcome and comfortable while they are spending time with us. Our beautifully designed kitchen, lounge, dining area and family/whanau room are available for everyone in the hospital and their families to use.
While many of our hospital residents have lived in other parts of Elmswood, others have come directly from their own homes

Testimonials
Family member comments: After 24yrs working in older people’s health, my standards of care are very high. Your staff are amazing, their cares, patience is faultless. Their infection control is on point all of the time, some of the best I have ever seen, well done. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outstanding care you gave our beloved Mum. You also took great care of us too. |
