Serving the needs of the surrounding communities, Bupa is proud to offer Hospital and Dementia Hospital care at Parklands in Papanui, in our beautifully refurbished surroundings, complete with lovely, sheltered gardens.

What sets Parklands apart is our determination to put each resident in charge of their own day, so that the care we give fits around their preferences. That's why we say “your day - your way.” We welcome friends and family at any time. In every way we can, we make sure that each day is the best it can be - for everyone.

Our staff are wonderful, kind people, always ready to stop and have a chat. We have Doctors who visit every day during the week, and a Physiotherapist and an Occupational Therapist who work with our residents regularly. Our geriatrician visits fortnightly.

We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone Michelle Blackledge, our General Manager, or feel free to drop in at any time. Alternatively, please call Sarah our Community Liaison who can give you all sorts of information and advice on accessing care. Her number is 027 273 2113

I write to you to inform how grateful I am for the amazing care that my mother receives at Parklands. She is managed well and her dignity is respected greatly. At her former placement I visited 7 days a week and sometimes at night as I was so concerned about her. Now I visit 2-3 times a week and leave knowing that she is safe. With a husband at home with Parkinsons this has helped me get back some personal time. I find the staff efficient and happy and always ready to listen. Many thanks to all who participate in my mothers ‘end of life’ stage.

We cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care Mum has received from all your staff on Kowhai ward and are very appreciative of everything that has been done to ensure Mums well being. Staff who went beyond the call of duty, particularly in Mums last days. We were impressed with the way the residents were treated with dignity, compassion and respect. With our very best wishes and grateful thanks.

It is very difficult to put into words just how grateful our family is for the amazing, compassionate and caring way, you all looked after our darling husband and Dad. You made his last weeks as pleasant and comfortable as was possible and we loved always finding him so immaculate and groomed.
