Nurse Practitioner Yes Does a weekly clinic on a Monday and home visits on request.
Enrolled Nurse Yes We have a very experienced EN who supports the RN's and provides extra supervision of the Health Care Assistants.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes Ratio 1:5 at peak care times. We have experienced Health Care Assistants who are supported by Registered Nurses at all times. A large number of HCA's have either completed or are completing Level 3 & 4 National Certificate in Health & Wellbeing.
Physiotherapist Yes We have a very experienced Physiotherapist who visits weekly and additional services can be purchased as required. We have a gymnasium and the physiotherapist puts together an individual programme for those who attend

Oxygen Management Yes Oxygen is available at Beetham Healthcare and staff are trained and equipped to ensure it is used appropriately. Long term oxygen use is provided by Oxygen Concentrators.
Gastronomy/Nasogastric Management Yes Our Registered Nurses are proficient in managing PEG and Nasogastric tube feeding.
Palliative Care (Contracted) Yes Contracts for Palliative Care can be based on Aged Care contracts or specific palliative care contracts on a case by case basis. Please refer to your case manager for clarification. Beetham provides for this level of care.
End of Life/Palliative Care Yes We use the Last Days of Life Programme. Registered Nurses ensure all required interventions are provided. HCA's complete the Fundamentals of Palliative Care Training through Hospice NZ. We encourage the development of individual Advanced Care Plans.
Dialysis Yes Staff are training in the administration of dialysis.
Wound Care Yes Specialist care services ensure the most appropriate dressings, care and techniques are used to promote healing and optimise comfort. We have access to specialist wound care support.
Diabetic Care Yes We have 24 hour Registered Nurse support for those with diabetes.
Continence Advice Yes An initial 3 day assessment on admission ensures appropriate continence regimes and products are used.
Stomal Therapy Yes Staff are trained in Stoma care.
