Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
At Aria Gardens, we provide a friendly, warm, homely environment. We encourage and support individuals within the community to make the most of their abilities and, where possible, increase their confidence to enable them to grow and enjoy as much independence as they can. Our philosophy is to provide every resident with their own space where they can welcome their friends and family/whanau as visitors to their home in private and comfortable surroundings.
Our vision at Aria Gardens is to provide a home where our residents live with dignity, where the environment enhances and maximizes independence and there is respect for every individual's cultural, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical well being. This vision is underpinned by our values of compassion, integrity, dignity, honesty, respect, innovation, accountability and excellence in our field. We are always looking for ways to improve and we take time to listen and provide personalized care.
The wellness program we offer here at Aria Gardens are based on robust research about the positive effects of diet, exercise, social interaction and mental stimulation on ageing. This approach is part of our ‘living a life with soul’ philosophy, which shapes how our communities operate.
Arvida’s “Five Pillars”, Eating Well, Moving Well, Resting Well, Thinking Well and Engaging Well are reflected in the planning and delivery of each program. Designed to cater to the specific interests of residents, they can be held within the community or at an outside venue, accessed with the community van

We are on the North Shore in the Waitamata District. Based in Albany.

Many thanks to the staff for your dedication to caring for the village residence over this long period of time. You are such a fantastic team which, from the bottom of our hearts, is so appreciated. It is wonderful to know that there are people out there who really put others first, before themselves to ensure their safety and wellbeing. May you all know, it hasn't gone unnoticed, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon. Sending our love to you all.

Thank you to all the staff at Aria Gardens for your care and attention with our Mother Irene. I shared a photo & post to our whanau after my visit today and expressed my gratitude for all that you do. I was touched by her 'headband' which she told me she thought she had made, but wasn't sure. Anyway I managed to distract her for the hour from the weather with songs and photos. nga mihi nui lovely people.

Dear Carol,

Your vision and its implementation is etched on my heart. Without you "my music ignites my soul" may never have evolved Emerson's poem "Gratitude" captures what you have done for seniors and students in NZ. You will always have a special place in my heart.

To the wonderful team at Aria Gardens, Thank you Denise, Dr Patti Piper and the amazing loving, kind, considerate and competent team in The Palms wing of Aria Gardens. We really appreciate your wonderful care of mom and wife, Iris. We are and always will be grateful for what you did for her in her last days. God Bless you all. Thank you also to the wider team of cleaning staff, catering, kitchen staff, care and reception team, we value and appreciate you all.

We were so impressed with the kindness and competence of all the staff looking after my husband. They all made it a pleasant and welcoming environment.

To all the people who had anything to do with the care of our dad. We want to thank you very much. We know his short stay at Aria was wonderful because he told us so. He felt cared for, and he loved every bit of the attention he had from everyone. We really appreciate the time spent looking after him right up until the very end. We are so glad that he got to experience that time with his family in Auckland and take comfort in the kindness and effort everyone at Aria Gardens put into making his stay the best it could have been. We are very grateful and want to pass on our heartfelt appreciation.

Thank you so much for the caring of me while I was an Interim Care resident. I was shown so much kindness, and compassion at the time when I was sometimes feeling despair and anxious. I saw staff doing things for residents that was truly touching. I experienced many instances that was above and beyond the expected level of care. Your staff are the greatest asset.

The Borger family were very pleased with the care Dad received from all our wonderful staff. A special thanks to Louie for all his help.

To everyone involved with Mary's Care, whether you were the nurse, health carer, cleaner, kitchen staff, we are very grateful for what you did for her. Thank you so much for your kindness, you're all one in a million.

My thanks to all management staff for providing a welcoming, warm, caring environment for all residents. Aria is a very special place to spend time in rehabilitation. I cannot speak highly enough about the care I have received.

To the Staff of Hibiscus Wing, After over four months in the Hibiscus Wing, I cannot express my very deep gratitude and appreciation adequately. I am sure the positive support you have all given has contributed to my improved mobility. I will certainly miss you all, each nurse, carer and member of the support staff. You are all dedicated, exceptional people and I am so grateful to have experienced the excellent care you've given.

“The staff at Gardens are wonderful they always take such great care of my Mum”

To the Hibiscus Suite, A very big thank you to the staff and all those who work with them in Hibiscus, for the gentle, compassionate care you gave our beautiful Mana, during her stay t Aria Gardens. As you know, unfortunately she didn't make it back home to us, as we had hoped, but even on her last day she was asking to be taken "down to the lounge to sit in the sun with the others" (her favorite spot while in your care). Being away from her home was not something we had ever wanted for mum, but when it was something that had to be, we could not have asked for a better placement than what she had with all of you. In gratitude and love.

On behalf of Morris, I am forever grateful for the amazing team that you have at Aria Gardens. They really are fantastic at what they do, both professionally but also compassionately. It is obvious they really do care, and they go out of their way to provide support to the people staying at Aria Gardens, and the families. I really appreciate everything the staff in Kowahi did for my father, along with everyone else in Aria Gardens.

On behalf of the late Stewart Family, I would like to express our appreciation for the way you and your dedicated staff cared for my mum during her stay at Aria Gardens before her recent passing. On our visits, we have been continually impressed by the happy environment at Aria Gardens, particularly amongst the hard-working staff. We found all the staff, without exception, from the "top of the tree" to the nurses and cleaning staff, to be conscientious, friendly and professional in all they did for her. We cannot sing the praises of your nursing staff enough - they do an amazing job, are so caring and show great empathy and respect for their patients. We'd appreciate your passing on to everyone involved in Patricia's care, our deep-felt thanks for all that they did to make her last few months as comfortable as possible, and for the respect and devotion they showed in tending to her needs. Aria Gardens and it's staff can be proud of the very important work they do for the elderly.

Would you please pass on to the Management Team that we are very impressed with the nursing staff that has been working with our mum. There is several staff members that are very kind and gentle towards their patients and they are most genuine, kind and caring nurses we have ever come across. We feel very spoilt to have these nurses to watch over our mother.

To all the staff at Aria Gardens, I wish to extend my sincere thanks for all you have done for my dad, Brian. You are all such wonderful people who provide excellent care. Many thanks Brian's Family.

To Management & Staff of Aria Gardens,
My mum is a resident at Aria Gardens. She has not been with you long but already I am hearing from her how wonderfully kind everyone is to her. I live on the Gold Coast in Australia and together with my NZ extended family we chose Aria Gardens and we are so pleased we did. Thank you for all the effort, kindness and patience you have put into your work. I appreciate the emails and updates and I feel confident that mum is in the best care facility for her needs. With Kindness and Appreciation.
To the staff,
I'd like to thank you all very much for taking care of mum, for the last 2 years. It was very much appreciated. You were all kind, caring and amazing to both mum and I. I am so grateful to you all. Regards Maureen
