Radius Heatherlea is located in the beautiful city of New Plymouth. It is centrally located and only 2 minutes drive from the city centre.
Heatherlea offers the best in rest home and respite care. This is a 55 bed facility with 19 swing beds, (Hospital/Rest Home)15 Rest Home Beds and 21 secure Dementia Beds.
Heatherlea has a dedicated secure Dementia unit with its own secure garden setting.
Family is very important to us, and we encourage friends and family to become involved in all aspects of our residents lives. We encourage residents to bring in their favourite possessions, so they can personalise their rooms, so they remain as much as possible their familiar surroundings.
Our residents have the freedom to come and go with friends and families as much as they like, or otherwise friends and families are always welcome. Radius Heatherlea offers a variety of activities, crafts, and recreational programme as well as regular outs.

| At Heatherlea residents have convenience of being so central to town, this makes it easier for family and visitors also. Right in the heart of the facility there is a peaceful outside garden, especially for the pleasure of our residents in the secure unit. We have four lovely lounges throughout the facility, with modern décor and comfortable seating, with music or wide screen TV available for the pleasure of our residents and families. |

Heatherlea has a full activities programme which includes the following, but to name a few of the activities, Bingo, Board games, Bowls, Cards, Canine friends, Cooking, Craft, Entertainers, Exercises, Flower arranging, Happy Hour, Holidays, Lotto, Newspaper reading, Quizzes, Shopping, Sing-a-longs, Stroke Group. The residents and families alike love watching our birds in the two aviaries we have, and there is great excitement when they product chicks. We welcome visitors, and the residents especially love baby's and little children, we have an a close relationship with the ABC group, and the Omata Primary School, participating in return visits. |
