Residents can bring their favourite possessions to personalise their rooms, maintaining familiar and comforting surroundings. They also have the freedom to come and go with friends and family as much as they like, or to welcome them for visits at any time.
Nutritious and Delicious Food
Our kitchen staff prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily, ensuring they are tasty and inviting. Residents enjoy three main meals, with two options for dinner and snacks throughout the day. The menu is approved by a dietician on a four-week cycle. Popular dishes include fish and chips on Fridays and lamb, pork, and beef roasts. Special dietary needs are accommodated with care.

We offer a diverse activity program designed to promote self-esteem and personal fulfilment. Our activities stimulate cognitive function, nurture residents, and provide purposeful engagement, resulting in enriched lives full of fun, laughter, and smiles. Special Features
At Heatherlea residents have convenience of being so central to town, this makes it easier for family and visitors also. Right in the heart of the facility there is a peaceful outside garden, especially for the pleasure of our residents in the secure unit. We have four lovely lounges throughout the facility, with modern décor and comfortable seating, with music or wide screen TV available for the pleasure of our residents and families. |

Heatherlea has a full activities programme which includes the following, but to name a few of the activities, Bingo, Board games, Bowls, Cards, Canine friends, Cooking, Craft, Entertainers, Exercises, Flower arranging, Happy Hour, Holidays, Lotto, Newspaper reading, Quizzes, Shopping, Sing-a-longs, Stroke Group. The residents and families alike love watching our birds in the two aviaries we have, and there is great excitement when they product chicks. We welcome visitors, and the residents especially love baby's and little children, we have an a close relationship with the ABC group, and the Omata Primary School, participating in return visits. |
