An increasing number of supporters have made the decision to leave a gift in their Will to CBM. Would you prayerfully consider joining them?
A Gift in your Will can change lives forever and continue making a difference for future generations. A gift in your Will allows CBM to make long-term plans and invest in programmes that will continue to impact children and adults with disabilities in the world’s poorest places.
Write your Will for FREE 11-18 November 2024. CBM is once again partnering with Safewill, a popular online platform that makes writing your first Will, or updating an existing Will, easier and more affordable than ever. Your Will is reviewed by Safewill’s affiliate law firm, Safewill Legal, to ensure it has been completed correctly according to New Zealand law (see link at bottom of page for more information).
Testimonials
Three of our generous donors have already included cbm in their Will – you can read their testimonies here: "Just the thought of continuing to bless others in need, and especially people suffering with the stigma of poverty as well as disability, by way of leaving a bequest to CBM in our Will after we've gone, fills my husband Stuart and I, with great joy. The use of CBM’s daily prayer diary provides a deeper understanding of the day to day needs and introduces some of the dedicated people involved with CBM, who are committed to being God’s "hands and feet". It is a great comfort to know that hand in hand with our prayers, the gift in our Will to CBM will assist in supporting and indeed transforming the lives of adults and children with disabilities, living in the world’s poorest places.” - Mary and Stuart, supporters since 2009, bequestors since 2023 “Living in such a privileged country, it's almost impossible to imagine how hard it must be for those who don't have access to decent health and disability services. Not only does CBM provide these services to the most desperately needy, but they are also one of the best examples of demonstrating Christ's love to those who are disadvantaged and marginalised. For me it is absolutely crucial to support this work and I have also chosen to leave a gift in my will to CBM so it may continue blessing others well into the future.” - Trish, supporter since 2008, bequestor since 2023 “I have included a bequest for CBM in my Will because of their invaluable work restoring sight for so many people without access to that care. The generosity of those who restore sight needs my commitment, too." - Jim, supporter since 1993, bequestor since 2023 |

Description
After your loved ones have been taken care of, would you consider joining Mary, Trish and James and leave a gift in your Will for children and adults with disabilities in the world’s poorest places? If you would like to, we would love to honour your decision and include you in our John 1:5 Society. This name comes from a Bible verse which reminds us that Jesus came to be the eternal light, and we are also called to be the light of our broken world. As a valued member, you will: • Have the knowledge that you are leaving a precious Legacy to the causes most dear to you. Your gift has the power to bring love, hope and healing to future generations. • Receive a silver cross, which you can wear on the lapel of your jacket, or hold as a keepsake, to remind you of your wonderful generosity towards people most in need. • Be invited to any events, either in person or online, to hear from CBM’s leadership, partner organisations, and frontline field workers. If you would like to know more about leaving a Gift in your Will to CBM please contact Mirella Soratroi on 0800 77 22 64, she will be able to discuss this with you. |

What's New
Give the Gift of Life and Change a Life: Helping you make giving truly meaningful! Gifts of Life is a great way of sharing our blessings with people in need – and passing on the true meaning of giving to our loved ones at the same time. It’s a way of saying “thank you” for the many blessings we receive. When you purchase Gifts of Life, your gift helps to improve the lives of people with disabilities in the world’s poorest places. Give a chicken or help grow vegetables? Help a child to walk or give the miracle of sight? Whatever you choose, your gift will be a blessing and help to restore hope where hope is lost. Maybe this is your wish for Christmas. A Gift of Life. You could also consider gifting your birthday, anniversary, another celebration, or even honour a loved one’s memory to support people with disabilities in poverty. By doing so, you will help transform the lives of children and adults facing unimaginable challenges in the world’s poorest places. Thank you for your kind and caring heart towards children and adults with disabilities in the world’s poorest places. Because of people like you… lives will be changed forever! |
