We have the best of both worlds, being close to shops and motorways but nestled in a peaceful spot away from the main road. From the staff who greet you in the hallways, to the fresh and inviting living spaces, at Palm Grove you’ll feel right at home. There’s always something happening in our main lounge - find a friend to chat to or join in the day’s events. If it’s peace and quiet you crave, relax in the beautifully manicured gardens, or settle in a comfy chair in one of our many cosy nooks.
We don’t have visiting hours at Palm Grove because we know it’s important you stay connected to your community. It’s home so friends and family can join you anytime for a cuppa and catch up. We’re close to several main roads, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in, or get you out and about to local shops and cafes.
Living in a Care Suite gives you the flexibility and control you're used to and that little bit of luxury you deserve. You can relax knowing you won't have to move again if you ever need a higher level of care. Both Rest Home and Hospital level care can be provided in your Care Suite.
All Care Suites have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family visit, as well as a full ensuite bathroom. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite so you can truly make it your own with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces.
Hop in the village van for a jaunt, you’ll never know where it will take you next. A scenic drive to Lyttleton or hot chips at the beach, there’s an exciting new destination each week. Or if it’s music you’re in to, enjoy your own personalised playlist with I Love Music. Join in the fun with furry visitors, or take part in competitive games, theme days and Happy Hour, there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re interested in.
Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to want second helpings!

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
