Care Suites provide both Rest Home and Hospital level care, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase. Your Care Suite is designed to be your forever home, so you’ll be able to stay in the same familiar place, with friends around you and the staff who know you best providing care. Some Care Suites are large enough to accommodate couples, so you can be together – even if one of you requires Hospital level care.
Choose from either a studio Care Suite with an open-plan bedroom and lounge, or a one-bedroom Care Suite with a separate bedroom and living area. All Care Suites have a heat pump and full ensuite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. We also have options with private balconies or patios.
You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.
Our Guest Services Manager will get to know you so they can help fill your day with the things you love to do. Whether it’s as simple as video chatting with family overseas or something that requires a bit more organisation, like meeting friends at a show – either way, you can relax and let us take care of the logistics. Our activities calendar is packed with a variety of group and solo pursuits, so you can choose what you feel like doing. Hop in our van to explore an exciting new destination each week or enjoy some me-time listening to your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.
Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… all are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty classics you’d make at home. Don’t fancy what’s on offer? Have a chat to our friendly chef and kitchen team to let them know what you’re craving. Good food is best shared, and family and friends are welcome to come dine with you. Enjoy a barista coffee and a bite to eat from the onsite café or book in for a meal in the main or private dining room.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
