Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
Elms Court on Middlepark is conveniently located on Middlepark Road, next to St Thomas’s high school in Sockburn. We offer a wide range of premium rooms including care suites, studios and apartments. Something for everyone’s needs and budget.

All care suites, studios and apartments have a heat pump and full ensuite, as well as a kitchenette – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. We offer these room options as a ‘rental’ or premium room charge per day so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces.

All our rooms can provide both Rest Home and Hospital level care, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase. We have Registered Nurse cover 24hrs a day / 7days a week and very experienced care staff. Elms Court is known for its homely feel, created by a warm, friendly team who go out of their way to provide personalised care and make our residents feel like part of the family.

We have a wide range of activities to suit all. Immediately outside the premises is a bus shelter waiting to take those who are able anywhere in Christchurch. Furthermore, we also have a van for regular weekly outings. There are many options for the more able such as a short, pleasant walk to Upper Riccarton library, the shops or to the local park.

We are located just 2 minutes from Blenheim Road and just 5 minutes from Church Corner, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in, or get you out and about to local shops and cafes. Riccarton and Hornby Malls are also close by, should you need to grab any additional comforts.

No referral required.

A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

Testimonials
Testimonials
Mum is loving it at Middlepark. We are very impressed at how easy the process has been. We had visited another facility which we found disappointing and it made us feel as if we had no idea what we were getting into, but we found Middlepark was welcoming as soon as you stepped through the door and had a very homely feel. Mum is getting involved in the activities and enjoying the food. Staff are very caring and have great communication. Middlepark is clean and tidy and this has taken away the stress we felt when mum was living alone. We think that Middlepark is a great place and we are more than happy.

– Middlepark resident's son, May 2021.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
