If you need care while your family is away or while recovering from a hospital stay, you’re welcome at Summerset for short term or respite care. You can stay with us for few days through to a month or longer. Our care centre at Summerset at Wigram has a range of spacious rooms, with most including a personal ensuite. We offer nursing care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure your needs are met. We will look after your daily care, meals home help medications, and other assistance may require.
Here at Summerset at Wigram, we have Diversional and Recreational Therapists in our care centre to make sure residents are active, cognitively stimulated and socially engaged. Therapeutic Recreation takes place either individually or in small groups, depending on each resident's needs.
This can include exercise programmes, outings to local sights and amenities, crafts and hobbies and visits from local groups.
